During my time at epicmind, kelvin helped me build a strong foundation for my emath skills and to strengthen them he constantly challenged me with practice papers with various different question types to expand my grasp of the concepts. Furthermore, Yilong helped me improve my sciences by giving me practice to help me with my foundation of the subject as well as explaining key concepts to help me excel at the subject. For my transformation, my mindset along with my grades had significantly improved. As kelvin makes us do exercises to further boost our mindset and strength an example of this is his mathstery program where to prepare for O levels he makes us do various exam papers in a short period of time to boost our time management and attention span. Overall, the end result that i achieved from my 3years in Epicmind was a more improved mindset and better confidence along with 2 Distinctions for O levels Emath and combined sciences.

It has definitely helped me improve significantly from an “F” to a “B” student (by O levels) as they touch based the topics that I needed more assistance in. Kelvin and his crew went above and beyond, inspiring us to become better individuals through sharing his past experiences with an open discussion, which I believe most mentor’s seldom does it (eg. What I appreciate most about this tuition program is the small group teaching style, which allows Kelvin to provide personalized attention to each student. Before coming to Epic Mind to learn Math, to me it was just like any other subject I pass then happy can already. Nothing more nothing less. Math was relatively... Read more happy can already. Nothing more nothing less. Math was relatively harder to understand and Math felt more pain learning than any other subject. It was just a subject I never really understood or liked and never really caught my attention. Which caused the constant cycle of me disliking Math even more after every exam. I just act like I can do better but plainly lie to myself. After that when I was P3 my parents wanted me to go to Epic Mind for Math. At first I rejected since I was lazy to go to another tuition, but after some convincing my parents tell me to go there to try out. When I first came my tutor was Kenneth, who was the first teacher to change my whole life. When I first thought of the word "tuition" to me it was just a place where there is a class and the teacher teaches for a standard time then go home. But surprisingly Kenneth was a patient yet professional teacher. He helped me polish my mathematics concept to the max by knowing my weaknesses and helping me tackle them one by one. I remembered staying back to learn heuristics, which was my weakness. One of them, supposition, because I was so bad at it that it just does not go in my brain no matter how clear the instructions were. Not only the staying back did not waste my time but it helped a lot since during my exam at that time marks were heavily weighted on heuristics the most on supposition. I think Kenneth really change my perspective on Maths and it became my favourite subject in school. I honestly think that change can never happen overnight but that doesn't mean change will happen after a long time. Change only happens when one put in effort, in this case I put in the effort and learned and Kenneth filled in the missing percentages with his teaching making me an even better person not just in Math but in my life. I am very lucky to have come to Epic Mind. In P4 I was only scoring 60% but in Prelims I scored 85% and in PSLE I have achieved and A. Not only I have learned Math but I have grown with knowledge to my own life. After graduating to Sec 1 I continued my journey with Kelvin who was like also teaching deep from his heart and not for the sake of it he guided me through my basic Algebra which was extremely weak at that time but with all the different skills and technique Kelvin had taught me, Algebra seemed like an ant instead of an impossible obstacle. I went from murdering my brain at the sight of Algebra to looking at it and act like it was nothing, that is how I obtain of getting an A1 and next for full marks. Not only I was better and much more confident when doing my exam, I was even able to teach my friends who were struggling with Math. I have a lot of memories in Epic Mind since I have made friends in Epic Mind and Kelvin is not just a teacher, he is a true coach to life with lots of his own experience he shares with us since his regret is knowing them too late and I agree, it is often never to early to learn new things because when it is too late, it will also be too late to regret it. This applies to me coming here to learn Math and I have to say this is more than a tuition, this more of a place to grow with people together. Kelvin is truly a different teacher understanding a secondary student's pain and worry. I would consider myself a lazy person, but I would make a 20 minutes trip to come here. I truly appreciate everyone that have thought me here and Thank you very much for teaching me.
