Description
One Stop E-Learning Solution for Singapore Math (Primary and Secondary). PSLE Math and GCE O-Level Math Curriculum.
ACE-Learning Systems Pte Ltd was set up in 2001 with initial funding from the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore, with the vision of being a world class e-learning solutions provider for Mathematics and a mission of playing a leading role in creating fun in learning Mathematics.
The learning resources in ACE-Learning are designed to cater to a diverse range of learners. Each child is given room to learn at his/her own pace. The fully animated lessons give students the opportunity to revisit any topic a Mathematics teacher has taught. With the employ of visuals like the Math VR, hands-on-activities like the interactive laboratories, students are able to grasp Mathematics concepts and learn the lessons well.
The assessment modules are powered by the Math Editor and Math Artificial Intelligence Auto-grading engine. It allows students to input open-ended answers in a very user-friendly way and the AI engine is able to auto-grade the answers. Immediate feedback with in-built explanation (using Model Method or Thinking Blocks, Polya’s Method, etc) for each question is provided. Our unique feature, Step-by-step Auto-grading Engine, is able to check each working step and provide instant feedback. ACE-Learning is now the popular choice among secondary schools in Singapore. More than 75% of the secondary schools in Singapore subscribe to ACE-Learning. ACE-Learning’s comprehensive customised content and Learning Management System (LMS) with user-friendly features promotes Self-directed Learning (SDL) and Collaborative Learning (COL).

Read more the platform, I felt like I was teleported back to the 2000s. The system is also quite unreliable. My classmates and I usually complain about how we have done the assignments, and it will just show as incomplete, causing a lot of learning inconvenience. Also, the loading times and occasional technical glitches are frustrating. I've been logged out mid-session several times, and sometimes, the progress doesn't even save. Besides that, the voices of the videos are boring and monotonous, not inspiring students to learn, especially the female Singaporean voice, which is unclear and utterly annoying to me. This has to be changed, and I strongly suggest schools to not use this platform for learning maths due to unreliability and inconvenience. I wished to give a 0 star review if I could.

ACE Learning is one of those platforms that tries to present itself as an "innovative" and "engaging" way to learn, but in reality, it feels like a relic from a... Read more but in reality, it feels like a relic from a bygone era of bad educational software. If you’ve ever used it, you know exactly what I mean—clunky UI, painfully repetitive exercises, and an overall experience that somehow manages to make learning feel like a punishment rather than an opportunity. 1. The User Interface: A Nightmare from the Early 2000s The moment you log into ACE Learning, it becomes clear that the platform hasn’t seen a significant update in years. The design is ugly, outdated, and unintuitive. The navigation is frustrating, with menus that don’t make sense and buttons that seem to have been placed randomly. It feels like a website from 2005 that someone forgot to shut down. Animations? None. Smooth transitions? Nope. You’d expect an educational platform in 2025 to have a sleek, modern interface like Khan Academy or even simple Google Forms. Instead, ACE Learning gives you a chaotic mess of dropdown menus and tiny text boxes that make you want to close the tab instantly. 2. Repetitive and Boring Exercises If you thought learning could be fun, ACE Learning will make sure to beat that idea out of you. The exercises are not only repetitive but also ridiculously tedious. Most questions feel copy-pasted, and instead of testing actual understanding, they force students to follow the same robotic pattern over and over again. The questions are either too easy or absurdly confusing—there’s no middle ground. The explanations (if they even exist) are unhelpful and vague. The marking system is ridiculously unforgiving—one small typo and you’re wrong. Some questions even feel like they were written by someone who barely speaks English, with awkward phrasing and confusing wording. It’s almost like the platform is actively trying to make you get things wrong. 3. Horrible Automated Marking System Speaking of getting things wrong, the worst part about ACE Learning has to be its ridiculous automated grading system. Unlike actual teachers, the system doesn’t understand context—it only looks for exact word matches. That means: If you miss a full stop? Wrong. If you phrase something slightly differently, even if it’s correct? Wrong. If you enter "4.0" instead of "4"? Wrong. If you use a capital letter where they didn’t expect one? Wrong. This is beyond frustrating because instead of actually testing your knowledge, the platform forces you to play a guessing game with its rigid and robotic answer system. Sometimes, even when your answer is technically correct, you’ll still get marked wrong simply because you didn’t use the exact phrasing it wants. How does this help students learn? It doesn’t. It just makes them hate the subject. 4. Slow Loading and Frequent Glitches For a platform that already makes students suffer, you’d think the least they could do is make sure it runs smoothly. But no—ACE Learning lags like crazy. Clicking "Next" sometimes results in an eternal loading screen, and refreshing might mean losing all your progress. Worse, the site randomly logs you out, forcing you to re-enter your credentials. And let’s not even talk about those random glitches where: Your correct answers suddenly disappear. The "Submit" button refuses to work. It marks correct answers as wrong. At this point, I have to ask: does anyone actually maintain this site? Or did the developers abandon it years ago? 5. No Real Learning Value The biggest failure of ACE Learning isn’t just that it’s annoying—it’s that it doesn’t actually help students learn. Good educational platforms encourage understanding, critical thinking, and engagement. ACE Learning, on the other hand, just forces students to do mindless exercises that feel like a waste of time.

It's baffling how a site that claims to help students with math is so frustrating to navigate, unhelpful, and downright confusing. Firstly, the user interface is clunky and outdated, making it difficult to find the materials or tools you need. Searching for specific lessons feels like a never-ending battle with a poor search function that rarely delivers what you're looking for. When you finally do find content, the quality is underwhelming at best. The explanations are often vague, and the examples are either incomplete or overly simplistic. As a student, you need clear, thorough explanations that guide you through each step, and AceLearning falls short in this area. Instead of feeling like you're learning something valuable, you’re left more confused and frustrated than when you started. Moreover, the site’s technical issues are a constant hindrance. Videos buffer endlessly, quizzes glitch, and interactive features rarely work as promised. It’s almost as if the creators of AceLearning didn’t test the platform before launching it. Students deserve better than this. Instead of wasting time on AceLearning, students should look for more reliable, user-friendly alternatives that actually help them understand math concepts and improve their skills. In conclusion, AceLearning is a huge disappointment, and I strongly urge fellow students to avoid it. It's not worth the time or effort, and certainly not a tool that should be part of anyone's math education.

Slow loading times, constant glitches, and an overall lack of modern features make learning more of a struggle than it should be. Instead of focusing on the content, I found myself wasting time trying to get the platform to function properly. On top of that, the design is unappealing and difficult to use. It’s not user-friendly, and it lacks the accessibility features that should be standard for an educational platform.

Read more to see a couple things being changed: 1. The UI. This has been mentioned countless times by other reviewers, and should not be taken lightly. Ace Learning has a UI look that came from the early days of the internet, back when it was just HTML code. I would like to see the UI change for the better, as that allows students to feel more at ease when doing their plethora of questions 2. Secondly is the bugs. Ace Learning's chock full of bugs. Whether it be videos not loading, assignments not being seen as submitted by the teacher although they were clearly submitted already. Doing this change would allow users to not feel so frustrated with the website. 3. Lastly is the videos. They are boring, monotonous, and feels like it came straight out of 1984. I know that you guys have to churn out videos on a variety of topics, but please make better videos. The animation is chopped, the voices sound so boring. How do you expect us students to learn in such enviroments? I hope you guys would at least take my suggestions and try to act on it, as a whole lot of students use your website to study or do their homework on your website. Thank you for reading my review.
