Paid for one month of school fees thereafter. I was then travelling for work intensively and received an invoice for next month's fees via WhatsApp. I informed the admin that I was out of travel and asked if I could pay via credit card instead. Didn't get the admin name then but he/she replied that she would check and get back to me. Didn't hear back from them till one week later, on a Sunday, and this was a chaser for the fees. I replied that I was still on travel and thought he/she would circle back after checking. No reply from my reply on this day. 3 days later, 3.5 hours prior to my child's scheduled evening class (3rd class of the month) that same day, the admin WhatsApped me again and said that my child will not be admitted entry to class if I do not pay the fees by that day and he needs to reschedule for a make up class instead. Simultaneously, my child received a WhatsApp message from the centre's admin (see below photo). I was furious and immediately, I called the admin and said that I was actually boarding a flight from Bangkok and will be back in a few hours. I requested that my child should attend the class first and by the time I land, I will be able to do the bank transfer or PayNow. Apex, the admin's name was, said he would check with this manager and call me back. 15mins later, he called back and said the request was declined from his management. I demanded to speak to his manager but he said his manager is not available. For so many tuition centres that I have enrolled my two children to, this is the first time ever that I have encountered a centre that in my perception, does not focus on a child's learning journey with a lack of welfare or customer service concept. Till today, after 5 days, I have yet to hear back from the centre. I assumed that they have simply forfeited my 2 lessons' deposit that I have with them since my child has attended 2 lessons of this month. The discussions in class were definitely more interesting and engaging than the ones I had in school, which was something that really helped me in preparation for the A levels. My #whyillum.e is not just about the oatside 😁 but more of the way the tutors here go above and beyond to make sure we understand the concepts and techniques, and even going the extra mile to schedule 1-1 consults to clarify any doubts. Illum.e’s teaching methodology is extremely systematic, organised and efficient, making one more confident when going for examinations. I really wished I had illum.e from the start of my journey (my friend had consistent As with illum.e) but I am glad that the teachers always made sure that no student was ever left behind.
