Description
Driven by our mission to transform lives through exceptional learning experiences for students, Lorna Whiston Schools is shaped by our five core values of collaboration, integrity, education, determination and innovation. These five core values shape every interaction and learning experience delivered in our enrichment classes and enable parents to entrust their precious young children to us.
At Lorna Whiston Schools, we aim to equip students with strategies to help them learn better and install soft skills and values critical for success. We deliver our curriculum through collaborative, inquiry-based tasks that foster fundamental understanding and develop a natural curiosity for seeking knowledge. Language skills are taught progressively in a multisensory environment by our teachers, who go to great lengths to understand each child’s abilities and needs, differentiating activities to bring out the best in our students.
Our teachers undergo regular training to develop an understanding of the English Language syllabus prescribed by the Ministry of Education and to be exposed to new pedagogical approaches. Lorna Whiston Schools’ English Enrichment classes complement the MOE syllabus.
At the heart of our programmes is our desire to build a solid academic foundation that equips students with strategies to help them learn better and instill soft skills and values essential for success. To prepare our students for academic success, we believe in providing authentic and meaningful learning experiences. More than 70,000 children have experienced the difference of the Lorna Whiston Schools way. We invite your child to join us on a transformative learning journey too!

My daughter has been attending LW speech & drama for over a year. The quality of the program is fantastic. No regrets signing up for a full year upfront. She enjoys her classes very much.
I just enrolled her for the English Enrichment for a term and the curriculum is great. The teachers are native so there might be a slight difference in the phonics teaching which is something I observed.
My daughter is currently k2.

My child started speech and drama with Lorna Whiston when she was in K1. Under the two Teachers, Mr Joseph DeMarini and Ms Karen, she had always looked forward to... Read more DeMarini and Ms Karen, she had always looked forward to her lessons. When she started Primary 1, she told me she was one of the few who volunteered to introduce herself in front of the class in Mandarin, which she wasn’t fluent in. Knowing her, she wouldn’t have had that courage to volunteer to present herself in front of an audience had it not been the weekly show and tell at Lorna Whiston. It was the best decision made, to start her with Speech and Drama. Thank you Lorna Whiston and thank you to both the Teachers who have made the lessons fun, engaging and encouraging. She has stopped attending classes but I would have loved to have her continue if it weren’t for her academic commitments.

He enjoys his lesson and looks forward to every lesson. His teacher, Ms Karen, who has taught him all these years is a wonderful teacher. Her lessons are always interesting. We can see that our son has gradually changed from one who dare not speak up to one with self confidence. This is all thanks to Ms Karen’s patience, encouragement and guidance for him.

Read more likes the class but as usual she doesn’t comment much. But we looked through the work she did in class, and was surprised that she has been writing a lot. Was told that there will be a parent-teacher meet up at end of the term, am looking forward to that for a meaningful review. In the meantime we decided to start my younger child next year with Lorna Whiston.
