Description
At Lyttle Space, every child can draw.
Drawing is a way children can tell their stories without words. It allows them to imagine, to learn to think and form meaning through visuals. Each art journey at Lyttle Space is one where all things impossible come alive in imagination, and then on paper. Art is every child’s narrative — a way for them to express themselves.
Lyttle Space’s art classes create opportunities for children to explore and think creatively. They will also learn different techniques and art styles, observe nature and still life in a fun and enjoyable way. Classes will bring children to experiment with various mediums from paint and crayons, to recycled materials and even ingredients.
Weekly Art classes at LyttleSpace are for children from 4-12 years old.
Every lesson is 90 mins and consist of a mixed age group.

The children enjoy their weekly lessons and holiday workshops. Lyttle Space always amazes the kids (and us adults) with the workshop themes they come up with. The little ones constantly have difficulties picking just one extra workshop to attend during holidays. Lyttle Space has expanded their pool of teachers over the years. Teacher Ly has facilitated the kids’ learning in the initial years but the teachers she has trained up over the last couple of years have done an equally wonderful job. They are always engaging the kids and facilitating their learning, bringing joy to the kids week after week. My kids look forward to classes with their teachers every week. Looking forward to the workshops Lyttle Space will offer during the year end holidays!

My sons have been going to Lyttle Space since before the pandemic when Ms Ly was still practicing from her home in the early days. They have been hooked since... Read more home in the early days. They have been hooked since day 1! In this digital age, Ms Ly teaches something particularly rare in our Singaporean life, the fundamental soft skills of being human - emotional regulation, perseverance, flexibility, open-mindedness, and the value of creativity. For anyone looking to expose their children to a very different mode of learning art, this is exactly the place to find it. Making art here is not prescriptive, not rigid, not staid and definitely not results focused. She very much gives my children the space to express and the tools to create. My children are more in touch with themselves and more confident, and I think it is because Ms Ly respects them as individuals and engages with them as such, no matter how small they are. Bravo, Ms Ly! :)

Read more how much he’s grown. We picked it partly because of location, but have fallen in love with the philosophy and the approach. The lessons are a highlight of my son’s week, and we look forward to all the new creations he brings back every week. I love how art techniques, mediums and a wide range of topics are introduced in ways that are fun and interesting to children. I love hearing him talk through his drawings now - he explains what he’s thinking as he creates, which he never used to do. I was observing him working on a recent piece of homework. As he drew, he said to himself: “What do i need for a bird? A circle for the head? i need a stick for the legs!” His pictures tell little stories, which shows how the classes engage the children with a compelling story to inspire their art and creativity! He’s confident in his creations and enjoys the process of creating, without needing us to affirm or praise him. I also really appreciate how the teachers have been consistently encouraging and respectful of children. They make themselves available for chatting with parents about how each child is developing, taking time to share about their individual growth as little people, not just little artists. Their comments are meaningful and insightful, showing that they genuinely care for each child. Would definitely recommend to other parents.

This gem of an art studio was recommended by my sister-in-law back when I was looking for a creative space for my children. One of my sons started his art... Read more for my children. One of my sons started his art journey with Teacher Ly back when he was in K2. He is in Primary 5 now and still continues to look forward to the magical art session weekly. Now, he and his siblings bond over creating art works and chat about what they have drawn. In their own words “there are many different and fun topics each week!” We love how versatile their artworks can be and they make awesome birthday presents for our extended family - from Christmas wreaths to clay/cardboard models to lanterns to pirate ships, vases, etc. One of their artworks even found a home in their father’s consultation room! Highly recommend LyttleSpace if you are looking for an art studio for your Lyttle ones!

Read more excitement but my daughter had to wait 2 years before she could join (starts from 4 years old). She enjoys the 1h30mins sessions weekly and can draw and create things that we never thought she could. It's been 2 years, we love the teachers and this lyttle happy place. Course fees includes all materials, and the children just need to turn up and create masterpieces with the materials.
