The Young Maker, a leading coding school in Singapore, ignites a passion for technology in children of all ages and skill levels. Our mission is to cultivate a fun and nurturing environment where students learn and grow through exploration and collaboration. We believe that coding is a vital skill for future generations, and our engaging classes empower students to develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. They’ll learn to approach challenges with a logical mindset, fostering a love for innovation and discovery.
Through The Young Maker process-focused tinkering learning framework, we allow our students to apply design thinking and perform personalized outputs through collaboration. We seek to build a positive and fun learning culture that engages and nurtures our students, while instilling in them a passion to learn and excel.
TYM has a proprietary curriculum covering two tracks: coding and robotics. Each new module is accompanied by a module-specific book, developed by TYM, to guide students in their learning journey. Based on each student’s aptitude and aspiration, we will propose the appropriate curriculum for them.

They're also highly responsive and accommodating, which really helps with planning around school holidays and other commitments. It’s made the entire experience smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free for both parent and child.

Read more Junior, and now she has progressed into Robotics as a 9yo. She has grown a lot with TYM, developing structured thinking and logical problem solving along the way. Most important of all, she has a lot of fun. The teachers are patient and professional; they are able to adapt teaching approach and pace to suit different kids’ needs. And team behind the scene (Steph, Jermaine) at TYM are fantastic! I appreciate how they have supported my daughter when she represented TYM in the National Coding Competition and they have accommodated our long vacation plans with private catch-up sessions. I can’t recommend enough TYM to parents who are curious about introducing coding to their kids. It is not about turning them into programmers or software engineers. The kids will benefit a lot on critical thinking throughout the modules, as well as creating their own games!

Found this school randomly and glad I did. My son went for a trial and has been happily attending his weekly lesson for a year. Class size is kept small.... Read more weekly lesson for a year. Class size is kept small. He’s attended their holiday programme as well, the only holiday programme he won’t complain about. School management is also a breeze to correspond with.
