Hello fellow parents! This is Xinyi and I’m the founder of Skoop!
Call me a kiasu mom, but I prefer to think of myself as a mom who “outsources” some teaching duties to maintain my emotional and mental well-being. While I once aspired to be the quintessential juggling expert or what’s deemed a super mom, I’ve learned to accept that it is an impossible feat – and you know what? That’s totally okay!
Prioritizing our well-being sometimes mean seeking extra help and support. I admit, my standards are pretty high when it comes to my child’s education and overall development. There’s a bit of a tiger mum in me 🐯 as I push them towards excellence. But those tiger stripes? Well, I take them to the laundry and hang them out to dry every now and then, because even a fierce mom needs to air out her stripes and give her cubs a breather! 🙂
Driven by my high expectations, I embarked on a quest to find educational centers that matched my standards. I made sure the enrichment classes that my boys attended gave them the best possible learning experiences that would help them thrive, even if it meant wading through numerous trial and errors. Over the past few years, my boys have attended almost 20 different enrichment centres, both academic and non-academic!
I’m absolutely excited to open up and share my journey and insights with other moms. If you’re curious to hear more about my personal experiences and thoughts on education centres, don’t hesitate to drop me a message on Facebook or Instagram @junglermom. I’d love to connect!
