Berries World of Learning School @ River Valley
Description
In 1993, the first Berries World of Learning School was founded with a mission to teach Chinese to children in a way that is as exciting as it is educational. We believe in the power of a Fun-Filled, Multi-Sensory approach. Through our innovative and interactive teaching methods, we blend the worlds of fun and education, crafting an experience we like to call ‘Serious Fun’. Over the past few decades, Berries has grown to over 20 outlets across the island. As we move forward, we anticipate continuing our mission to nurture the children of tomorrow.
At Berries, our vision extends beyond just mastering the Chinese language. We also instill essential life values in children. Through the journey of learning Chinese, we hope to inspire children to become better versions of themselves everyday, to radiate more light and warmth in the world they grow up in today.
Berries World of Learning School is dedicated to creating an educational ‘paradise’ that transcends conventional language learning. Our goal is to curate a holistic and fulfilling experience for children by unravelling the mystery and beauty of Chinese language and culture.

My daughter is 5yo now has been attending berries since she was 3 years old and has always enjoyed the lessons! With Berries, I do not need to worry about her mandarin especially since we do not speak mandarin at home!

When my daughter is sick and cannot join, they offer different options to compensate the missing lesson. What I find really useful is the online revision courses which are in such a fun setup/format that my daughter always wanted to do it twice. I wash I had the chance to learn Chinese in such a fun way when I was a child. Thank you Berries!

Building access is simply awful. There are often building works taking place, where the access road to the building drop off is closed but somehow no effort is made to... Read more off is closed but somehow no effort is made to coordinate and let parents know that they need to turn in earlier before they go past, find the access road closed and then have to loop all the way back. Sometimes there is no choice but to let the kids alight while stopping the car on the main road and despite repeated feedback and requests, all they can say is that yeah the road is closed sometimes, and they also don’t know when so can’t inform ahead or do much. The school should know when their drop and pick timings typically are - is it so hard to check on the status of the access road during those timings? What is the point of having 2 staff dedicated to assisting with pickup if they don’t even try to put up signage or try to make it easier or safer for the kids to alight?

A friend of mine introduced me to Berries and I was excited to bring my daughter there. For your information, our family do not speak Chinese at home. They offered... Read more our family do not speak Chinese at home. They offered me a trial class so I accepted it. The day when my daughter supposed to attend the trial class, she had a high fever so I told them to postpone it next week. The day has come and I brought her to the trial class. They welcomed me really nice. So I waited for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The teacher who taught my daughter came over and told me that today was a revision class, so nothing much to learn. She also told me my daughter’s chinese is very poor. She also suggested me for another trial class or find a tutor for her. She asked me where will my daughter will be studied, I said public school. She told me “With the chinese like that, I’m not sure she can survive it”. My heart broke into pieces and so disappointed to the way the teacher told me like that. So sorry, every time my friends or other people told me about Berries, I cannot agree. I had a bad memory and experience there based on one teacher.
