Tremendously enjoyed Averil Laoshi's classes and would fully recommend it for parents wanting to learn mandarin alongside their children. She is highly-organised, warm and energetic and extremely knowledgeable in the local syllabus contents and requirements (both for regular Mother Tongue and Higher Mother Tongue). She was able to make constant connections between new information to what has already been learnt/ covered in previous chapters/ years, such that our knowledge can grow. She translates new vocabulary, highlights important aspects (e.g. particular words, idioms, and other parts of speech), and is patient with her expectations and explanations. With her guidance, I felt confident in helping my children with their homework and preparation for spelling tests. Thank you Ms Averil laoshi!
