Despite growing up in a non-Mandarin speaking environment, he has shown tremendous improvement in both confidence and language skills thanks to their quality teaching materials and lessons. The management has also been wonderful—super caring and responsive, which makes everything so much easier as a parent. Location is extremely convenient—directly connected to the MRT station within a mall. It’s been a fantastic experience, and I’m so grateful for the support and care my son has received here!

Read more since P2 but his P4 poor Chinese results made me worried about his PSLE. I then decided to try out Hua Cheng. We are a primarily an English speaking family so Chinese is not spoken much at home. Today on the week before the PSLE, I am very much more confident for him. I have hopes of him doing well enough for PSLE (as compared to what he did in P4 exams). It is really good to be able to feel better for a major exam, knowing the centre has helped him as much as they can. It is also important for parents to do their part for Chinese (Eg weekly spelling from Hua Cheng, practicing the oral materials from the centre etc) but their thick materials and teachers really help a lot in getting my son prepared for PSLE. The rest is up to him now.

Read more school curriculum, our experience over five months was disappointing. My son's grades deteriorated, prompting me to discuss the issue with our contact, Nicholas. During our conversation, I expressed uncertainty about the program's effectiveness but did not instruct him to cancel our enrollment or request a refund. To my surprise, Nicholas sent a refund message without further discussion. When I inquired, he said they had processed a refund. I was shocked and clarified that I had never asked to cancel the classes. It felt as though they gave up on my child without any attempt to address the issue. For parents seeking dedicated and sincere teachers, avoid Hua Cheng. They were unresponsive and unprofessional, especially when my child struggled. Save your deposit and time, as our experience was deeply unsatisfactory. They did not offer a sincere apology or attempt to rectify the situation, which speaks volumes about their commitment.

The registration process was clear and informative, and we started the lessons about half a year back. Initially she is quite lukewarm about the lessons, but I think she generally enjoyed the lessons, and the teacher is quite patient with her. In half a year, her Chinese has improved quite alot, mid year results are better than expected. Will recommend to try.
