Previously before attending her lessons, I struggled with my Higher Chinese at the upper secondary level as I found it difficult to write convincing and compelling essays and score well in the comprehension section. However, the multitude of resources Miss Wang provided were well-structured and immensely helpful in improving my essays and answers. I had only joined Miss Wang’s tuition 5 months prior to the GCE O-Level Examinations, but what definitely shocked me was her dedication to teaching and amazing oratorical skills, making her lessons both meaningful and engaging. Her teaching skills, coupled with the numerous resources provided have boosted my Higher Chinese grades from Bs and Cs in tests to an overall A2 and Merit for Oral in the GCE Higher Chinese O Level Examination! Ms SY Wang is a dedicated and responsible teacher, she never misses any class and the materials she provides (good word and phrases, recommended study books etc) are very useful. Her lessons are always interesting and engaging, together with providing us with constant useful and important information, every lesson was valuable. Her rigorous guidance and constant reminders have allowed me to gain a good grasp of the subject. Her teaching approach and methods to teaching made me enjoy learning chinese but at the same time improved my answer techniques, skills and my overall grasp of the subject. During her lessons, aside from teaching chinese, she spends time teaching us other things as well, for example how we should study and prepare for exams. In the end, I was able to use her helpful tips and materials which allowed me to excel in my papers and oral. I finally attained A1 for my overall grade and Distinction for oral in my 2023 Chinese ‘O’ Levels . Thank you Ms Wang!
